Our 1st Hotel

Our 1st Hotel
From where we took the picture, the area looks crappy, but it wasn't. The bathroom floors were heated which I forgot is common in Norway. It was nice because it was very cold when we arrived and the floor was nice and warm. When we got off the train from the airport, we got off at the wrong station and had to walk quite a ways to our hotel. It was nice to sight see on our way but NOT with our luggage!

Opera House

Opera House
There was a new Opera House built in Oslo and it is amazing. You are able to walk on the roof and all over the building. It was fun but very slippery and acted as a slide..for many. We wanted to see an opera but it was pretty much sold out of course.

From the Opera House we could look out over the fjord. There were a few Ocean Liners coming in and out and it was tempting to jump on one and see where it would go ;0)

The "tourist" boat to Bygdoy
I wanted us to go to Bygdoy and see the museums that are there. We took this tourist boat which stopps in different places along the fjord. It was fun but oh SO cold. In this picture, I am drinking 'glugg' which is a Norwegian Christmas drink. You are supposed to put nuts and raisins in it but I forgot and drank it without.
